250 New Hours
Cineflix International announced today it is launching 250 hours and 20 brand new in-house and third party series at MIPTV 2010, the biggest and most commercial slate in the distributor’s history.
The new catalogue boasts highlights across factual entertainment, entertainment, reality, documentary, drama-documentary and specialist factual programming and notably sees a return to the small screen with a new series for iconic film and TV legend, William Shatner.
The 10×60 show Weird or What? with William Shatner is a new popular series that seeks to find a logical, scientific explanation for fascinating mysteries and strange phenomena. Cineflix International will distribute Weird or What? internationally across all platforms except the USA.
Cineflix’s new drama-doc, Nazi Hunters, an 8×60 series coproduced in association with History (Canada) ,History (International), Historia (French Canada) and National Geographic (Latin America) features eight missions. Retelling the stories in the most up to date style, Nazi Hunters shows how a select band of secret agents and avengers hunted down some of the most evil men in history…and finally brought them to justice.
Campus PD20×30 is another highlight, a show that has been going down a storm Stateside, with two seasons produced in association with G4 Media in the US.
The show airs on G4 and E, doubling G4’s total day average rating.
Depicting university life from the perspective of the law enforcement professionals who police them, this series presents a real-life account of these campus heroes.
From Vancouver based Force Four Entertainment comes Cupcake Girls, a 13×30 deliciously entertaining docu-series following entrepreneurs and best friends, Heather and Lori, on their hectic and often hilarious journey to build a cupcake empire.
Along with these new releases, Cineflix International will also be presenting the latest seasons of returning series and evergreens such as Mayday and Cold Blood, in addition to 64 hours of factual programming from independent producer Frantic Films, as Cineflix reported last month.
