Cineflix Rights Seals North and Latin American Deals

Cineflix Rights has signed a series of deals with North and Latin American broadcasters including Smithsonian, HGTV, Fox Latin America, Discovery Latin America, Nat Geo Mundo and Globosat Brazil.

The distributor has sold seasons eight, nine and 11 (23 x 60’) of hit series Mayday: Air Disaster, which investigates legendary aviation disasters to find out what went wrong and why, to Smithsonian Networks. Cineflix Rights has also sold seasons two and three of lifestyle makeover series Princess (32x30’) in which high-spending young women are taught to live on a budget, to CNBC.

In Latin America, Cineflix Rights has sold all three seasons of Dinner Party Wars (39 x 30’) to MGM Latin America. The hit format challenges larger-than-life couples to pull out all the stops to outperform their rivals in a feast of wining, dining and undermining. In-Law Wedding Wars (13 x 60’), the series where soon-to-be-weds hand over control of their big day to one of their mothers, has sold to Discovery Latin America. New one-hour documentary End Of Men, which looks at how men are coping with the evolving role of masculinity in today’s world has been sold to FOX Latin America and Nat Geo Mundo.

Season one of Cineflix’s global hit series Cash & Cari (26 x 30’), in which estate sale guru Cari Cucksey combs through clients’ basements, attics, and garages in search of hidden treasure, has been sold to History Channel Latin America. The distributor has also signed deals for Cooler Facts (6 x 30’), which delivers jaw-dropping bits of information in a fast paced format, to the US channel Galavision.

The North American deals were brokered by Lucinda Gergley-Garner, Head of Sales and Acquisitions, North America, while the Latin American deals were brokered by Sabrina Ayala, VP of Sales and Acquisitions for Latin America, Iberia, and Italy.
