Peter Smith Appointed to CEO, Cineflix Studios

Cineflix Media continues to strengthen its scripted operations with the appointment of Peter Smith to the position of CEO, Cineflix Studios.  Based in London, Smith’s focus is to continue to build the scripted business in the UK, US, and Canada and produce highly regarded, long-running series.  Smith reports to Glen Salzman, Co-CEO, Cineflix Media and joins on September 3, 2012.  Christina Wayne, President, Cineflix Studios, and Vlad Wolynetz, President of Production, Cineflix Studios, report to Smith.

Previously, Smith served as the President of NBC Universal International where he grew the revenue from $2.6 billion to more than $4 billion in four years.  While at NBC Universal International, Smith also developed the pay channel business and created the international TV production business, with successes including Downton Abbey.
