Cineflix Rights Signs Partnership Deal with LMNO Productions

Leading UK independent television distributor Cineflix Rights has signed a major partnership deal with top US producer LMNO Productions.  The exclusive three-year deal sees Cineflix Rights distributing LMNO's 450-hour back catalogue, as well as its new programming for the next three years, effective immediately.
LA-based LMNO has produced more than 750 programmes and 65 different series for broadcast and cable networks including CBS, NBC, FOX, Discovery Channel, TLC, Lifetime, A&E and OWN. The deal, signed in advance of MIPCOM 2012, adds LMNO’s programming to Cineflix Rights’ existing catalogue the team is taking to Cannes.
Among the LMNO programming Cineflix Rights is taking to MIPCom for the first time are: Unusual Suspects (50x60’), which explores and uncovers the incredible stories of everyday people who turn out to be not quite what they seem; The Little Couple (100x30’) which follows a married couple both under four feet as they move to a new city, negotiate the purchase of a home, and weigh the risks of planning a family; Cheating Vegas (3x60’), which takes viewers inside some of the most fascinating and elaborate scams of modern gaming to ever take on Las Vegas's casino mecca; and Hollywood & Crime (6x60’), which explores the dark side of Hollywood – telling the stories of people who arrived with their dreams but had their lives cut short by brutal and mysterious crimes.
Chris Bonney, CEO of Rights, Cineflix Media said: “We are delighted to be partnering with such a highly reputed producer as LMNO. Their catalogue is driven by high performing, internationally focused returning series which complement our existing portfolio and which we know will have strong appeal to our buyers.“
The deal marks the start of a strategic collaboration between the two companies, in which as well as distributing LMNO’s content, Cineflix Rights provides support on IP exploitation from the programme development stage onwards.
Eric Schotz, President/CEO of LMNO Productions said:  “We are thrilled Cineflix Rights will be exploiting our library.  LMNO is one of the few television production companies that retains the ownership of its shows, so for us this new partnership is with the right company at the right time. They have a great reputation for delivering results for clients and we’re particularly pleased at their approach.”
Cineflix Rights celebrates its tenth anniversary at MIPCom 2012.
