Cineflix Rights seals multiple deals in advance of MIPTV 2014

Cineflix Rights, one of the UK’s leading independent television content distributors, has signed deals amounting to more than 400 hours of programming with broadcasters worldwide in the run up to MIPTV 2014.

Deals with broadcasters in the US include Smithsonian Channel taking Mayday: Air Disaster (seasons 3, 4, and 13, 34 x 60’, Cineflix Productions) and Reelz taking Final 24 (seasons 1 and 2, 14 x 60’, Cineflix Productions).

In Central Europe, TVPuls Poland has bought 112 hours of content including Unusual Suspects (seasons 4, 5, and 6, 39 x 60’, LMNO Productions) and Dangerous Flights (seasons 1 and 2, 18 x 60’, Pixcom Productions). Fellow Polish broadcaster Spektrum TV Poland has bought 60 hours of programming including Pet School (seasons 1 and 2, 20 x 30’, Cineflix Productions), and The Man Who Doesn’t Breathe (2 x 60’, Back2Back Productions).

Scandinavian deals include Viasat Norway buying Property Virgins (seasons 10 and 11, 52 x 30’, Cineflix Productions), Viasat Denmark taking Buying & Selling (season 3, 26 x 60’, Cineflix Productions), and Viasat Sweden buying Brit Cops (season 1-6, 62 x 60’, October Films).

In the UK, Discovery UK has taken Food Factory (season 2, 26 x 30’, Cineflix Productions) and UKTV has taken Surviving Evil (season 2, 10 x 60’, Cineflix Productions) that is currently in production.  Both titles have also been bought by Discovery Europe, which has taken season 3 of Food Factory and season 2 of Surviving Evil. And in France, TF1 have bought Cold Blood (seasons 3, 6, and 7, 46 x 60’, Cineflix Productions).
