Cineflix Rights and Foxtel Australia sign crime and lifestyle deal
Cineflix Rights, one of the UK’s leading independent television content distributors, has signed a deal with Foxtel Australia which sees the broadcaster acquiring more than 250 hours of crime and lifestyle content from Cineflix Productions and third-party producers in the distributor’s catalogue.
Amongst the crime series included in the deal are Murder in Paradise (season 2, 6x60’, Cineflix Productions), Last Seen Alive (6x60’, Cineflix Productions), Obsession: Dark Desires (10x60’, October Films), Surviving Evil (season 2, 10x60’, Cineflix Productions), Unusual Suspects (seasons 1, 5 and 6, 39x60’, LMNO Productions), and Cold Blood (seasons 2 and 3, 36x60’, Cineflix Productions).
Lifestyle programming included from Cineflix’s home and design catalogue are long-running successes Property Brothers (seasons 1, 2 and 4, 65x60’, Cineflix Productions), and Buying & Selling (seasons 1 and 2, 39x60’, Cineflix Productions).
The deal was negotiated by Chris Bluett, VP Sales, Asia Pacific and Benelux at Cineflix Rights and Jim Buchan, General Manager of Factual Channels at Foxtel.
