Cineflix Rights strikes deals for more than 250 hours of content
Cineflix Rights, one of the UK’s leading independent television content distributors, has signed new deals for more than 250 hours of content from Cineflix Productions and third-party producers.
Crime continues to pay for the distributor, with new deals from TV4 Sweden and Digicast Italia for Last Seen Alive (6x60’, Cineflix Productions), the seriesis already a proven success in the US, premiering last month with high ratings on Investigation Discovery. TV4 Sweden has also taken Murder in Paradise (season 2, 6x60’, Cineflix Productions) and Wives with Knives (season 2, 8x60’, Indigo Films). Seasons 1 and 2 of Wives with Knives (14x60’) have been bought by Digicast Italia.
Other crime brands continuing to perform for the distributor are Obsession: Dark Desires (10x60’, October Films), which has sold to A+E Networks Italy, who have also bought Imposters (6x60’, CMJ Productions) and Crimes That Shook Britain (season 5, 6x60’, Title Role Productions). Cold Blood (seasons 2 and 7, 26x60’, Cineflix Productions) has sold to CBS Chellozone UK, while seasons 3, 6, and 7 (46x60’) have been bought by NT1 France.
Lifestyle programming is also generating strong sales for Cineflix Rights with Discovery UK and Discovery Europe both buying season 3 of Food Factory (26x30’, Cineflix Productions). Season 4 (26x30’) of Food Factory has been bought by Discovery Europe and AETN All Asia Television Networks has acquired seasons 1 and 2 (52x30’). Alongside the success of its food programming, property continues to do well with Mediaset Spain buying into the globally successful brand Property Virgins (seasons 7 to 10, 78x 30’, Cineflix Productions) and Sky Italia taking Property Brothers (season 4, 26x60’, Cineflix Productions).
Finally, Cineflix Rights’ science programming remains popular with buyers, with RTVE Spain and DR Denmark acquiring The Man Who Doesn't Breathe (2x60’, Back2Back Productions) and RAI Italy buying 1000 Days for the Planet (10x60’, Glacialis Productions).
