A tireless optimist, Michelle is always coming up with imaginative solutions to make the world a better place. So when her sister Keri receives an eviction notice just before the holidays, Michelle decides she will somehow trade a festive stocking for the ultimate Christmas present—a forever home for Keri.
Keri dismisses the idea as another one of Michelle’s far-fetched plans, but local reporter Dan is intrigued. Assigned to write a feel-good holiday piece, he shadows Michelle as she continues to trade up, and soon finds himself drawn ever closer to the story—and to Michelle. And when Michelle’s plan eventually hits a major snag, it’s streetwise Dan who reignites hope, just when she needs it most.
The movie stars Italia Ricci (Designated Survivor, The Imperfects) as Michelle and Michael Xavier (Bitten, Northern Rescue) as Dan. Bradley Walsh directs from a script written by Joie Botkin and Jonathan Marx.
