Hosted by Paddy McGuiness, Tempting Fortune takes twelve strangers hoping to win a share of £300,000 on an epic adventure in the hostile tropical jungle of Langkawi, Malaysia. Stripped of creature comforts, they encounter a series of tantalising temptations in their gruelling 18-day trek.

Created to offer once-in-a-lifetime experiences and ease their exhausted bodies, each temptation comes with a huge price tag. And every time any one of them gives in—the money is removed from their shared prize pot. As conditions get tougher, resentment and tensions grow within the group between the temptation-takers and temptation-resisters as they endure the most basic conditions and a diet of only rice and beans. In the ultimate test of willpower and honesty, will the bonds that form between the group be enough to stop the spenders from spending? And will there be any prize money left at the end?
